We have now helped 125 schools to turn their year 5s’ into ‘Energy Heroes’. This is through funding from Northern Power Grid, the Department of Energy and Climate Change and York City Council.

That means that we have delivered the ‘Energy Heroes are go!’ assembly to approximately 37,800 pupils, each taking home an Energy saving tips flier to share with their families.

We’ve turned approximately 5,400 year 5 pupils into ‘Energy Heroes!, helping their households, schools and wider communities to save energy and help save the planet! If 10% of those households saved 10% off their electricity bills, this would give us a saving of approximately £140,000 and approximately 540 tonnes of CO2.
