We’ve been working in the community energy and education sector for the past 10 years. ‘Energy Heroes!’ was born in 2014 while working with the former Department for Energy and Climate Change to explore the introduction of Smart Meters into homes.

We have been working with community energy groups to deliver the ‘Energy Heroes!’ programme to local schools and their wider communities reaching an estimated 28,500 families so far! Community Energy groups have expertise, enthusiasm and the drive to help change how their communities use energy, to lower household bills and help the environment.

To develop the program, we have received funding from:

They are the Distribution Network Operator for Yorkshire and Humber and bring electricity from the main transmission grid to millions of people’s homes.
